Car sales leapt to new highs in April after news of President Trump's vehicle tariffs set every automaker's hair on fire. A brief reprieve isn't doing much to relieve consumer worry, at least not yet. For now, lease prices on all cars have not dramatically changed thanks to sufficient vehicle inventory. This month, we've focused on the best deals on luxury vehicles, foreign and domestic, which may face the highest per-vehicle tariffs in the months to come.

Pickup Truck Lease Deals

Rivian will take $6500 off the down payment of an R1T or R1S, but unlike March's deals on Dual Standard trims, this time the credit applies only to the higher-spec Dual with the Max battery and Performance upgrade, which makes this new lease more than $10,000 costlier. Rivian also requires a $1000 deposit and bundles it into the signing payment. In this example, what's billed as a "$0 down" lease still requires nearly $3000 at signing. On the plus side, you get a 665-hp truck with 15 inches of clearance—who wouldn't have fun with that?

Fast, electric American pickups that cost $100,000 are becoming their own segment. Leasing this 645-hp Chevy, which also comes with an air suspension and plenty of useful tricks like a fold-down midgate, costs the same as the Rivian. A larger 205-kWh battery ensures even more range—400 miles in our real-world highway test—and the fastest charging we've seen on any EV. While there are WT trims and a new mid-grade LT model, the only lease deals are on this top-dog RST.
SUV Lease Deals
2024 cadillac xt6 sportVIEW PHOTOS

Cadillac's three-row SUV is a one-and-done deal. Introduced for 2020, the XT6 will be out of production by the year's end. Its replacement is the three-row Vistiq, one of three new Cadillac electric SUVs the company is banking on for success. The XT6, like the CT6 sedan, never felt luxurious enough for its Cadillac nameplate. But at these prices and with a short lease term, current GM lessees might be tempted by the front-wheel-drive Luxury trim (non-GM drivers pay $579 per month).

Lexus offers some sensible lease options for its 350 models. For May, you can choose either the mid-size ES350 sedan or the compact NX350 all-wheel-drive crossover. Plush seats, a zippy turbo four, and a quiet ride make the NX350 a good everyday car with a generous amount of standard equipment.

The Mexico-built Q5 will eventually get hit with a 25 percent tariff, which may be why Audi is offering $2000 off the lease of the 45 S Line trim. The $3849 signing payment includes the discount, along with the first month's payment and an $895 acquisition fee. If that still sounds expensive, consider that a BMW X3 leases for thousands more, and it's built in South Carolina. For a compact luxury SUV, the Q5 has always been a solid choice.

What will happen to the Lincoln Nautilus, which, despite appearing in Ford's recent "From America, For America" TV ad, is built in China? For now at least, the lease is bearable on this Premiere all-wheel-drive trim, which includes a 48-inch curved screen and hands-free driving. After 145 percent tariffs on Chinese products kick in, we can't imagine the Nautilus will stick around long.

For a pretty all-wheel-drive Mercedes coupe, this lease actually feels like a good deal. The CLE300 4Matic has the styling presence of the old E-class coupe (even more so as a convertible, which adds $4700 to the total lease). The powertrain and interior are shared with the current C-class sedan, however. In person and on the road, the CLE's commanding road presence and excellent ride are properly old-school Mercedes. This CLE is one of the best new models out of Stuttgart. Current Mercedes lessees can save an extra $2000.

The CLE's direct competitor, unsurprisingly, makes a compelling alternative at nearly the same price. The 430i xDrive coupe is another smooth-riding, quick, and solid car, one that stands out from the X3s and X5s that everyone else drives. BMW includes the Convenience package (wireless charging, power lumbar, keyless entry) and remote start in this lease.
